Sewing patterns for beginners?

I am only just starting to sew and so far have only made two bags- one a tote bag, the other a pleated clutch sorta thing. I don't really want to make clothes but want free patterns that would be good for a beginner- preferably ones that are lost cost to make as I don't want to buy lots of expensive materials just for a project that I'm probably going to make a ton of mistakes on.
