Is a high bun professional?

I have extremely curly hair and was thinking of getting it done tomorrow, but I don't like putting a lot of heat on my hair. I am working at an event tomorrow wearing a suit jacket, pleated skirt, round toe pumps and a beige collared shirt. I was just going to wash my hair and put it neatly in a bun. Is this professional enough for the dinner?
